Wax & Lye was created towards the end of 2017 by me, Kate, a self proclaimed caffeine addict and single stay at home mum of two beautiful girls. Clearly not a fan of having my photo taken, here I am with my lovely and much more photogenic dog, Drover.

This business started out as a hobby to fill in time between seemingly endless episodes of The Wiggles and In the Night Garden, and quickly became an obsession that I still love doing many years later.

After many months of research, trial and error, I starting out selling scented candles to family and friends before moving onto the local market scene. Due to the popularity of everything I had on offer at the time, I set about expanding my range to include artisan soaps, and finally the brand Wax & Lye was born!

Since then, I have branched out into many other areas to include a range of Wholesale, Home Fragrances, Bath & Body Products, Accessories, Gifts and Made to Order products - I even show you how things are made on Wax & Lye's new YouTube channel!

Now, 7 years later, I'm happy to still be doing what I love every day, being creative and making beautiful products in my adorable purpose built workshop on our farm that you all still love and enjoy. Thank you so much for your ongoing support which allows me to do what I love to do! - Kate x
